Bearcat 220 Police Scanner?
I am having trouble searching for a free downloadable manual for my Bearcat 220, 20 channel programable scanner. Also does anyone know what year these kinds of scanners are? I recieved this scanner free from a friend with no manual, and I would like to find information on the scanner.Thank you.
Hi Mary L. I have model 210xl, very similar.Good news. I have located a web site where you can get the manual, free download,53 pages.The 220 was introduced 1979. Frequency range: 32-50,118-136,147-174, 420.45-512.45, modes am/fm. GOTO http://www.rigpix,com/bearcat/bc220.htm You can usually get a local frequency list from your Radio Shack. Program in a National Weather local channel. I use channel 1 & then lock it out. I hope this helps you to get scanning. This unit is analog only, no digital. Happy scanning. exbelltel
