Can I plug in molex 4 pin to power graphics and and also pcie 6 pin into gpu at the same time?
It's auxilary power to the graphics cards which are in sli, I already have 6 pin powering them, but I just thought i'd ask if it is possible,or if it would mess something up
Never mind im an idiot, the 4 pin molex is a female input for a 6 pin pci adapter for the card,so it's useless, sorry for the stupid question
Well, the short answer is "Yes" but, what would you need/like/would do that for?
If its required by the card(s) then well, go ahead just check your power supply and see if it has enough juice to give and spare, if you just wanna see what may "happen" well, you may end toasting something and having and expensive paper weight so... if it is not required then is NOT advisable.
