Is gold-plated tungsten a good quality metal for a ring?
It's for my wedding band, but I don't want to spend a lot of money and I found one I really like in gold-plated tungsten. That's not a cheap, crappy material is it?
My husband and I got tungsten rings with a gold-plate design on them when we got married. That was 8 months ago, the tungsten is totally awesome (it never needs polished or breaks) but the gold plating has about half way worn off already.
Tungsten is carved, not cut. From what I understand it is the hardest metal there is, so not cheap or crappy 
I've gotten more compliments on this ring than any piece of jewelry I've ever owned.
